EscapeRoomAdmin - Privacy Policy

Welcome to the Escape Room Admin (the "App"). We understand that privacy is important to users of our App. This statement governs our privacy policies with respect to the users of the App ("Players") and makes use of the various services offered by Escape Masters Limited.

"Personally Identifiable Information"

Refers to any information that identifies or can be used to identify, contact, or locate the person to whom such information pertains, including, but not limited to, name, address, birth date, picture, phone number, fax number, email address, financial profiles, and credit card information. Personally Identifiable Information does not include information that is collected anonymously (that is, without identification of the individual user) or demographic information not connected to an identified individual.

What Personally Identifiable Information is collected?

We may collect basic Player profile information from all of our Players. The collected information might include but is not limited to, name, address, phone number, email address, birth date.

What organizations are collecting the information?

In addition to our direct collection of information, our third party service vendors (as data storage and direct mail service companies) who may provide such services as data storage, e-mail delivery may collect this information from our Players. We do not control how these third parties use such information, but we do ask them to disclose how they use personal information provided to them by Players. Some of these third parties may be intermediaries that act solely as links in the distribution chain and do not store, retain, or use the information given to them.

How does the App use Personally Identifiable Information?

We use Personally Identifiable Information to customize the App and to make appropriate service offerings. These service offerings can include, but are not limited to send follow-up emails with pictures and selfies, create and update ranking information, allow for easier checking process at the next games, by populating certain fields when the correct email address of a Player is entered, to provide You with further information, marketing and promotional communications and materials (from which You have the right to unsubscribe from). We may also use Personally Identifiable Information to contact Players in response to specific inquiries or to provide the requested information. We may use the Personally identifiable information to analyse trends, administer the App, track a user’s, and gather broad demographic information.

With whom may the information be shared?

We may share aggregated information about our Players, including the demographics of our Players, with our affiliated agencies and third-party vendors. We also offer the opportunity to “opt out” of receiving information or being contacted by us or by any agency acting on our behalf.

How is Personally Identifiable Information stored?

Personally Identifiable Information collected by Escape Masters Limited is securely stored and is not accessible to third parties or employees of Escape Masters Limited except for use as indicated above.

What choices are available to Players regarding collection, use and distribution of the information?

Players may opt out of receiving unsolicited information from or being contacted by us and/or our vendors and affiliated agencies by responding to emails as instructed, or by contacting us.

What partners or service providers have access to Personally Identifiable Information from Players on the App?

Escape Masters Limited has entered into and will continue to enter into partnerships and other affiliations with a number of vendors. Such vendors may have access to certain Personally Identifiable Information. Our privacy policy does not cover their collection or use of this information.

Disclosure of Personally Identifiable Information to comply with the law: We will disclose Personally Identifiable Information in order to comply with a court order or subpoena or a request from a law enforcement agency to release information. We will also disclose Personally Identifiable Information when reasonably necessary to protect the safety of our Players.

How does the App keep Personally Identifiable Information secure?

All of our employees are familiar with our privacy policy and practices. The Personally Identifiable Information of our Players are only accessible to a limited number of qualified employees who are given a password in order to gain access to the information. We audit our security systems and processes on a regular basis. Sensitive information is protected by encryption protocols, in place to protect information sent over the Internet. While we take commercially reasonable measures to maintain a secure App, electronic communications and databases are subject to errors, tampering and break-ins, and we cannot guarantee or warrant that such events will not take place and we will not be liable to Players for any such occurrences.

How can Players correct any inaccuracies in Personally Identifiable Information?

Players may contact us to update Personally Identifiable Information about them or to correct any inaccuracies by emailing us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Why do we need to use single application mode (use android.permission.BIND_DEVICE_ADMIN) on the device and how can the owner of the device manage this? 

The application is an element of the escape room game. With the single application mode, the players cannot exit out of the application. The single application mode is controlled by the device owner's administrator - the administrator is the employee who manages the escape game. The administrator can turn it on and off with the use of the password.

Can a Player delete or deactivate Personally Identifiable Information collected by the App?

Players cannot delete or deactivate Personally Identifiable Information from the App’s database once the Personally Identifiable Information is submitted to us. Players can delete or deactivate Personally Identifiable Information by contacting Escape Masters Limited. However, because of backups and records of deletions, it may be impossible to delete a Player’s entry without retaining some residual information. An individual who requests to have Personally Identifiable Information deactivated will have this information functionally deleted, and we will not sell, transfer, or use Personally Identifiable Information relating to that individual in any way moving forward.

What happens if the Privacy Policy Changes?

We will let our Players know about changes to our privacy policy by posting such changes on the App. However, if we are changing our privacy policy in a manner that might cause disclosure of Personally Identifiable Information that a Player has previously requested not be disclosed, we will contact such Player to allow such Player to prevent such disclosure.

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance:

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act), we do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age.
